Yes! Relying on social media profiles to verify your guests is not only a subjective process but a potentially dangerous one as well. If you can even find your guest’s profile, making a decision as to whether or not you accept the reservation based on assumptions you’ve made is not legal in most jurisdictions —and, often times, not accurate. 

Just because someone appears to be a good renter or you get a bad feeling from someone does not give you all the information you need to make an objective judgment. If you’re not following laws and regulations, you could open yourself up to a lawsuit and face consequences from online travel agencies (OTAs) and listing sites for canceling the reservation.
